Softball Recap: Tecumseh Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Tecumseh extended their winning streak to five on Thursday, bumping them up to 16-6. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the McLoud Redskins. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Savages also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

As for McLoud, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since August 30th.

For McLoud's part, Elexias Patterson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, McLoud saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makenzie Lane, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Tecumseh didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Merritt on the 12th. As for McLoud, they will take on Bristow at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
