Basketball Recap: Crawford Takes Down Tri-City Christian in a Playoff Battle

Crawford extended their postseason success on Thursday against Tri-City Christian. They walked away with a 46-33 victory over the Tri-City Christian Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Colts.

Fatuma Abdi was her usual excellent self, putting up 23 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Crawford's points. Samitioata Fidow was another key player, earning 11 points and five boards.

When it comes to explaining why Tri-City Christian lost, don't look at Katie Busch. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 26 points and 18 rebounds. Busch continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Crawford now has a winning record of 15-14. As for Tri-City Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 17-5.

Looking ahead, Crawford will square off against Brawley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brawley will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Crawford surely won't give up without a fight. Tri-City Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
