Soccer Game Preview: Bryan County vs. Jenkins

The Bryan County Redskins will head out on the road to square off against the Jenkins Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bryan County has given up an average of 7.1 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bryan County came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-0 to Southeast Bulloch. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Bryan County's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Jenkins waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Raiders. Given Jenkins' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Savannah Christian are ranked 227th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jenkins pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 50 goals over those eight matches. As for Bryan County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Bryan County couldn't quite get it done against Jenkins when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Redskins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
