Recap: Heritage Patriots vs. Liberty Lions
The Heritage Patriots waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They walked away with a 57-46 win over Liberty. This was payback for Heritage, who suffered a 66-59 loss the last time these two teams met.
Heritage found their leader in underclassman Ze'ni Patterson, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zion Patterson, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aly Acosta, who scored 17 points. Madison Perea was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Heritage's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points per game. As for Liberty, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-10.
Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Liberty also has no future games currently scheduled.
