Basketball Recap: Central Valley Falcons vs. Yreka Miners
Central Valley lost against Yreka back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Central Valley Falcons took a hard 54-37 fall against the Yreka Miners.
Yreka found their leader in freshman Alexis Dryg, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dryg has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmie Freitas, who posted 13 points and five assists.
Central Valley's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Yreka, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.
Central Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-23 loss against West Valley on the 4th. As for Yreka, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 66-35 defeat against University Prep on the 4th.
