Volleyball Game Preview: LaVille Lancers vs. Bethany Christian Bruins

However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The LaVille Lancers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bethany Christian Bruins at 5:30 p.m. Bethany Christian took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on LaVille, who comes in off a win.

While LaVille's victory against Argos wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lancers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Dragons 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lancers have posted since September 10, 2024.

LaVille wouldn't go down easily and took Argos into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-15, 25-22, 27-29, 15-8.

Bethany Christian had taken Jimtown down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Bruins came up short against the Jimmies, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-14, 25-14.

LaVille's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. As for Bethany Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
