Baseball Recap: Mount de Sales Academy Comes Up Short

Mount de Sales Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 10-3 to the Stratford Academy Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Cavaliers have lost by exactly seven runs.

Layne Defore was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Mount de Sales Academy's record now sits at 7-14. As for Stratford Academy, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 18-6.

Coming up, Stratford Academy will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Pinewood Christian at 5:30 p.m. Mount de Sales Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' game: after the Eagles face off against Tiftarea Academy, they'll take on Mount de Sales Academy again at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
