Brookwood came tearing into Thursday's match with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Norcross Blue Devils. The Broncos have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Devils, too.

Cristian Mendez looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single hit in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brookwood let Mason Archie and Max Rogozinski run wild. Archie scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4, while Rogozinski went 2-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave Rogozinski a new career-high. Michael Heath was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Brookwood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in 11 consecutive contests.

Brookwood pushed their record up to 17-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Norcross, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.

Brookwood will have a chance to go back-to-back against Norcross: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Monday.
