Softball Recap: Dawson County Wins Going Away Against Habersham Central

While Dawson County put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Habersham Central. The Tigers blew past the Raiders 9-0. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.

Sadie Dotson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaelyn Utech, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Dawson County hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Dawson County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Habersham Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Dawson County will take on Johns Creek at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Habersham Central, they will square off against Loganville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
