Riverdale's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Mt. Zion Bulldogs. While the Raiders didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-6), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Riverdale's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Mt. Zion, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverdale will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against North Clayton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will give North Clayton their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Mt. Zion, they will face off against Douglass at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be Douglass' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
