Preview: The Webb Schools Gauls vs. E EF Academy
Having just played yesterday, The Webb Schools Gauls will get right back to it and host the E EF Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (The Webb Schools has five straight victories, E has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, The Webb Schools strolled past San Gabriel Academy with points to spare, taking the game 46-29.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead The Webb Schools to victory, but perhaps none more so than Pristine Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Thomas has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Xajani Badkar, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, E was beaten by Hill 54-16 back in December of 2023.
The Webb Schools is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for E, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-6.
