Soccer Recap: Bethel Comes Up Short

Bethel lost against Saint Mary back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bethel Jaguars came up short against the Saint Mary's Panthers, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1090th, while the Panthers are ranked 345th).

Bethel's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Saint Mary's, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-3-1.

Bethel will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mt. Diablo at 6:00 p.m. on February 12th. Saint Mary's does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
