Softball Recap: Covington-Douglas Find Success

After low-scoring totals in their previous five game, Covington-Douglas brought some dynamite into their most recent match. Everything went their way against the Carney Bulldogs on Friday as they made off with a 10-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

Covington-Douglas' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Carney, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 10-6.

Covington-Douglas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carney, they will challenge Waukomis at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chiefs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
