Basketball Game Preview: West Point Dragons vs. San Luis Sidewinders

The West Point Dragons will take on the San Luis Sidewinders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Point is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

West Point is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Red Mountain on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. West Point was beaten by Red Mountain 67-22. The Dragons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-4.

Meanwhile, San Luis was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap back in December of 2024 as they fell 29-24 to Duncan. The Sidewinders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Point will have to contain Vanessa Ambriz as she made an impact in San Luis' last game. She posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Brittany Campos, who earned three points.

San Luis' loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for West Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
