While Darlington's victory against Trion wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers won by a run and slipped past the Bulldogs 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-1 back in February.

Darlington's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13. As for Trion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-6.

Looking ahead, Darlington will be playing in front of their home fans against Christian Heritage at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Lions will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Trion, they will be playing at home against Pepperell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dragons have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
