Football Recap: Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering Panthers vs. Bell Griffins
Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering faced Bell in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Panthers were outmatched by the Griffins and fell 36-8. The Panthers lost against the Griffins in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 51-0 score last time.
Jahlil Bowman threw for 88 yards and one TD. Gabe Wiggins was his top target, picking up 81 receiving yards.
Antonio Washington had an outrageously good game for Bell as he rushed for 100 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries. That's the most rushing yards Washington has posted since back in November of 2024. Marquette Jenkins was in the mix too, providing Bell with two touchdowns.
Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Bell, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.
