Baseball Game Preview: Hampton Hornets vs. Eagle's Landing Eagles

For the second straight game, Hampton will face off against Eagle's Landing. The Hornets will venture away from home to challenge the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hampton will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Hampton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Eagle's Landing get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Monday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Hornets as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Harrison Court made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Court was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in February of 2024.

In other batting news, Dylan Peugnet was a standout: he scored a run while going 2-for-2. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Leo Vivaldi Garcia, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Hampton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .708. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Eagle's Landing is on a 29-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-21. As for Hampton, their record now sits at 5-16.
