Football Recap: Eagle Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Timberline + How To Watch

Eagle faced Timberline in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 35-33. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2021.

Despite the loss, Eagle still got an impressive performance from NOAH BURNHAM, who rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 51 receiving yards. AUSTIN RAMSEY was another key player, throwing for 151 yards and a pair of TDs.

Timberline's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jack Brant led the charge by rushing for 89 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 254 yards and one touchdown. Hudson Lewis did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 154 receiving yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Eagle fell to 8-1. As for Timberline, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Eagle nor the Wolves have any future games scheduled.
