Softball Recap: Peach County Trojans vs. Spalding Jaguars

After flying high against Rutland on Saturday, Peach County came back down to earth. The Trojans took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spalding Jaguars on Saturday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Addison Dickerson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Saniya Martin, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Peach County now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Spalding, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Peach County will head out on the road to take on Rutland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans are facing the Hurricanes at the right time seeing as the Hurricanes are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Spalding, they will be playing at home against LaGrange at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
