Basketball Game Preview: Clovis North Broncos vs. Clovis Cougars

Clovis North hasn't had much luck against Clovis recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Clovis North Broncos are taking a road trip to take on the Clovis Cougars at 7:00 p.m.

Clovis North is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They fell 54-44 to Clovis East.

Meanwhile, Clovis waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Bears 66-38. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Bears are ranked 140th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Clovis pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Clovis North, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Clovis North might still be hurting after the 57-32 loss they got from Clovis when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Clovis North avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
