Softball Recap: Basalt Falls to Durango in First Game of Season

Basalt kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Durango Demons, falling 11-4. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Basalt saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hadley Ivy, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Ivy has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Durango beat Basalt by a score of 18-6 later that day.
