Meanwhile, Avella hadn't done well against Bishop Canevin recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Avella secured a 45-39 W over Bishop Canevin. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

West Greene has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Avella, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-11.

Everything came up roses for West Greene against Avella in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 72-41 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Greene since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
