Kennedy put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack by a score of 59-49. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Wolfpack are ranked 218th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Wolfpack players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caitlin Subejano, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc on her way to 22 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Mendenhall, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 boards.

Kennedy pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Cosumnes Oaks, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Kennedy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-52 victory against Laguna Creek on the 18th. As for Cosumnes Oaks, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Ponderosa at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Ponderosa's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
