Basketball Recap: Gompers Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Gompers Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the San Diego Academy Cavaliers, falling 59-15. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Gompers Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for San Diego Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gompers Prep Academy will take on Monarch at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monarch has insisted on making their lastsix contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-6 during that stretch of close contests. As for San Diego Academy, they will square off against High Tech CV at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
