Soccer Recap: Foothill Comes Up Short

After flying high against Livermore on Tuesday, Foothill came back down to earth. The Falcons came up short against the Carondelet Cougars on Thursday, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Foothill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 205th, while Carondelet are ranked 23rd).

Foothill's loss dropped their record down to 4-3-1. As for Carondelet, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-1-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Foothill will face off against San Ramon Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. San Ramon Valley's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Carondelet, they will square off against Livermore at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
