Soccer Recap: Oxnard Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Oxnard pushed their score to eight the last time they played Ventura, but on Thursday they couldn't quite do it again. The Oxnard Yellowjackets narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Ventura Cougars 1-0. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Cougars are ranked 470th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oxnard's one-goal win came courtesy of Jennifer Salas, who's now up to eight this season.
