Northwest came tearing into Thursday's contest with 18 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lexington Minutemen a 13-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won 15 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Northwest's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Libby Loman, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another was Brooke Starman, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Northwest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .583. The last time their batting average was this high was back in October of 2024.

Northwest's victory bumped their record up to 21-2. As for Lexington, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-22.

As of now, neither Northwest nor the Minutemen have any future games scheduled.
