Basketball Recap: Tesoro Find Success

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Tesoro had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They managed a 40-35 win over the Mission Viejo Diablos. This was a revenge game for the Titans: when they faced off against the Diablos two weeks ago, they had to take a 49-36 loss.

Several Diablos players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kimora Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds Williams has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sofia Gozzo, who posted eight points along with five assists and five steals.

Tesoro's victory bumped their record up to 18-11. As for Mission Viejo, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-19 record this season.

As of now, neither Tesoro nor Mission Viejo have any future games scheduled.
