Volleyball Recap: Battle Mountain Comes Up Short

Battle Mountain lost against White Pine last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Longhorns fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 2-1. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Battle Mountain sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 23-25, 15-9.

Among those leading the charge was Presley Skadburg, who had 11 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Battle Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for White Pine, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Battle Mountain didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Round Mountain on the 23rd. As for White Pine, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 23rd.
