Screven County has gone a perfect 7-0 against McIntosh County Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Gamecocks will welcome the Buccaneers at 5:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Screven County came up short against Metter and fell 7-3. The Gamecocks have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when McIntosh County Academy and Bradwell Institute meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Buccaneers blew past the Tigers 14-4. The victory was some much needed relief for the Buccaneers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Amaya Tucker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Tucker was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, Alexandria Sanders was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Caroline Hodges, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

McIntosh County Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

McIntosh County Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-18. As for Screven County, they now have a losing record of 9-10.
