Recap: Towanda Black Knights vs. Williamson Warriors
The Towanda Black Knights suffered their biggest loss since December 2, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 58-25 loss at the hands of Williamson. Towanda was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-13.
Williamson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenna Thomas, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds. Thomas is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Rae Jones, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Towanda now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Williamson, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Towanda will take on Sullivan County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Williamson, they will be playing at home against Troy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Troy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
