Basketball Game Preview: Central Catholic Raiders vs. Bear River Bruins

The Central Catholic Raiders will head out to challenge the Bear River Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Catholic has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Central Catholic will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Sierra, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Central Catholic managed a 60-55 win over Sierra on Thursday.

Central Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Macie Wright, who posted 11 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Samantha Nichols, who earned ten points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 64 points the game before, Bear River was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were dealt a 71-25 defeat at the hands of Colfax. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 338th, while the Falcons are ranked 109th).

Central Catholic's win bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Bear River, their loss dropped their record down to 18-9.
