Westminster Christian Academy lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Briarwood Academy, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's match. The Lions were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Buccaneers on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their two-run performance the contest before.
George Chisholm spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Westminster Christian Academy is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 8-10 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Westminster Christian Academy got a massive performance out of David Norris, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Norris is becoming a predictor of the Lions' success: when he posts at least three hits the team is undefeated (and 8-10 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Walker Allen, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Westminster Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Brentwood came out on top against Central Fellowship Christian Academy on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run sixth inning. The War Eagles were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Lancers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the War Eagles.
Abe Williams was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, JW Hitchcock was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Grady Boutelle, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Westminster Christian Academy pushed their record up to 11-10 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Brentwood, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.
