Baseball Recap: Walton Takes a Loss

Marietta hit Walton with a four-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Raiders fell 8-3 to the Blue Devils. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Walton's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Marietta, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-14 record this season.

While Walton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
