Softball Recap: Peach County Comes Up Short

Peach County lost against Lamar County back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Peach County lost 13-1 to Lamar County. Peach County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Peach County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Faith Corley, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

Peach County's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Lamar County, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-2.

Coming up, Peach County will welcome Cairo at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans will need to watch out since the Syrupmakers have now posted at least ten runs in their last eight games. As for Lamar County, they will head out on the road to take on Putnam County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
