Volleyball Recap: Hortonville Polar Bears vs. Edgar Wildcats

Hortonville's tournament run continued when they took on Edgar on Saturday. The Polar Bears took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Polar Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their offense was headlined by Rayna Nelson and Becca Krause, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Ashlie Sippola and her ten assists. Nelson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Edgar can attribute much of their success to Kaitlynn Hartnady, who had 14 digs and three assists. That's the most digs Hartnady has posted since back in October of 2024.

Hortonville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Edgar, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Hortonville has already played their next contest (against Neenah), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Edgar, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Appleton East on the 30th.
