Recap: Delhi Hawks vs. Gustine Reds
Sadly, the Delhi Hawks are still looking for their first win of the season after 15 matches. They took a serious blow against Gustine on Tuesday, falling 42-15. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Delhi of the 46-18 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Gustine's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Norma Mac?as, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. Mac?as is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Brooklyn Jackson was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
Delhi's defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Gustine, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-10 record this season.
Delhi will be playing at home against Denair at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Delhi comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last 15 games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Gustine, they will head out on the road to challenge Orestimba at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Orestimba will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Gustine surely won't give up without a fight.
