Basketball Recap: High Tech SD Storm vs. Canyon Hills Rattlers
The High Tech SD Storm entered their tilt with the Canyon Hills Rattlers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. High Tech SD came out on top against the Rattlers by a score of 45-38 on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for High Tech SD, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Della Hueramo was a one-man wrecking crew for High Tech SD as she scored 20 points along with four steals. Hueramo has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Kylei Hayward was another key contributor, scoring four points along with eight rebounds and eight blocks.
Despite the loss, Canyon Hills still got an impressive performance from Annalisa Parker, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 47.4% of Canyon Hills' points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Stein, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds.
High Tech SD has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for Canyon Hills, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. High Tech SD will take on the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Canyon Hills, they will play host again and welcome the Colts, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
