For the first time this season, Monsignor Donovan Catholic will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Friday. They will head out on the road to square off against the Gatewood Gators at 7:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Monsignor Donovan Catholic can't be to happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Friday. They fell just short of Hart County by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Gatewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Westminster Christian Academy, falling 7-0.

Monsignor Donovan Catholic suffered a grim 6-2 defeat to Gatewood when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Monsignor Donovan Catholic avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
