Soccer Recap: Xenia Comes Up Short

If Xenia was feeling good fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Shawnee on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Buccaneers came up short against the Piqua Indians on Tuesday, falling 5-2. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Xenia were already down 3-0.

Xenia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Piqua, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Xenia has already played their next contest, a 4-1 loss against Carlisle on the 21st. As for Piqua, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Urbana on the 21st.
