After a string of three wins, the Vista del Lago Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 56-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Whitney. Vista del Lago has not had much luck with Whitney recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Vista del Lago lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ella Skrzyniarz. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. The match was Skrzyniarz's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Bella Pallari was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Vista del Lago's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Whitney, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.
