Soccer Game Preview: Crescent Valley vs. West Albany

For the first time this season, Crescent Valley will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will welcome the West Albany Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Tuesday, Crescent Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Central Catholic and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, Crescent Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon soccer rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Central Catholic are ranked eighth).

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for West Albany's offense. They fell 2-0 to Central Catholic last Saturday. The loss was West Albany's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, West Albany fell to 3-1-1. As for Crescent Valley, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Crescent Valley was able to grind out a solid win over West Albany in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
