Basketball Recap: Coachella Valley Extends Winning Streak to Three

Coachella Valley extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Mariah Figueroa. The Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs secured a 51-46 W over the Yucca Valley Trojans on Thursday thanks in part to Figueroa, who posted 19 points and eight boards. Her afternoon made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Jamilah Lee, who scored six points and 17 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last five games she's played.

Coachella Valley's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Yucca Valley, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Coachella Valley has already played their next contest, a 66-34 win against Indio on the 14th. As for Yucca Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-32 defeat against Twentynine Palms on the 14th.
