If Granada wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played San Ramon Valley, they should've done a better job of containing Cole Dawes. The Wolves blew past the Matadors, posting a 49-13 win thanks in part to Dawes, who threw for 212 yards and five TDs on only 16 passes. He is becoming a predictor of San Ramon Valley's success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

San Ramon Valley's defense made their presence known, laying out Ben Warner three times. Landon Maloney refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Owen Power got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Granada lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Warner, who threw for 186 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

San Ramon Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.0 points over those games. As for Granada, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

San Ramon Valley has already played their next matchup, a 41-14 win against Amador Valley on the 10th. As for Granada, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 28-0 victory against Foothill on the 10th.
