Softball Recap: Lakeside Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Lakeside came out on top against Galloway on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Vikings took their contest against the Scots 7-2. The win was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on three straight.

Sydney Conrad was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Lakeside hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive matchups.

Lakeside now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Galloway, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Lakeside will welcome Midtown at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Galloway, they will head out on the road to take on McEachern at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.56 runs per game on average), something the Scots will no doubt try to take advantage of.
