Newman Catholic posted their closest victory since June 19th on Monday. They came out on top against the West Fork Warhawks by a score of 2-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Warhawks last Saturday, they had to take a 5-1 defeat.

Newman Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That somehow still isn't as good as their 20-5-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for West Fork, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-6.

Newman Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Madrid on the 9th. As for West Fork, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-0 win against Alta-Aurelia on the 9th.
