Baseball Recap: Dougherty Find Success

Dougherty posted their closest victory since March 8, 2024 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Westover Patriots 6-5. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Antwan Lockett, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Braylen Still was another key player, going 1-for-3 with five stolen bases.

Dougherty's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Westover, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-12.
