Football Recap: Centennial's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

If Centennial was riding high fresh off their 31-10 takedown of Champlin Park last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars took a 22-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Andover Huskies on Friday. The Cougars have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

It was another big night for Joseph Mapson, who rushed for 92 yards and one TD, and also threw for 141 yards and a pair of touchdowns for Andover.

Having lost for the first time this season, Centennial fell to 3-1. As for Andover, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Centennial and Andover should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. The Cougars (ranked 15th) will meet Rogers (ranked 66th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Andover will challenge Anoka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (11 vs. 102).
