Baseball Recap: Canton Comes Up Short

Canton lost to Franklin on Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Chiefs lost 8-1 to the Patriots. The Chiefs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Canton's defeat dropped their record down to 8-23. As for Franklin, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 19-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canton will square off against Stevenson at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Chiefs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Franklin, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Crestwood at 4:30 p.m.
