Basketball Recap: Ridgway Drops Season-High Score on Brockway

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ridgway). They secured a 58-54 W over the Brockway Rovers on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Elker: when they faced off against the Rovers back in January, they had to take a 59-45 defeat.

Brockway lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sophia Morrison, who posted 20 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Rheanna Spinda, who went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc to rack up 18 points.

Ridgway's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 5-11. As for Brockway, they dropped their record down to 8-13 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Ridgway will face off against Brookville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brockway, they will head out on the road to square off against East Forest at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
